The goal of the RYMAEC Youth Media Arts Curricula manual is to share and support. It is understood that the person posting the material does not intend for this material to be used in any way for commercial purposes.
Although we do not expect RYMAEC members to abuse this relationship, this site is open to the public. Because of that we feel it is necessary to clearly state the limitations of use.
The person or institution, named “Contributing Memberâ€, who posts curricula to the RYMAEC web site owns the copyright in all teaching and educational material created.
The Contributing Member grants the public a licence to use the material in the above clause within an educational setting (i.e. school, community organization) for educational purposes, to adapt the material subject to an obligation to identify and credit the RYMAEC member as author for all unadapted use and for two revisions where the staff member is not the author of the revision.
In other words, if you are using or changing the curriculum in any way, identify and credit the Contributing Member.
We do ask that if you use the a specific curriculum that you be in touch with the Contributing Member, either directly or by commenting on the curriculum on the site to let them know how it worked. But that’s more of the community building aspect and less of the legal stuff.
