I just wanted to communicate my excitement with this new initiative. I teach visual arts at the James W. Hennigan elementary school and also work as a technology support teacher for Boston Public Schools. I have been struggling for many years to get access to technology in my classroom. It has been a challenge to create and implement new media curriculum material in the art room. This new tool will be invaluable to my efforts. I want to thank all of those involved in creating this great resource and I want to encourage arts, technology and other educators to take advantage of it. The kick-off event last night was great. It was refreshing to meet so many members of our arts community with similar interests in youth arts. I also wanted to mention that I will be a presenter at the Massachusetts Arts Education Association Conference. My topic is the use of technology in the art room. I will definitely include RYMAEC in my presentation as a new resource for arts educators!
